Our office is committed to your oral health and the health of our planet. We are Philladelphia’s premier dentists and proud to be the City’s first eco-friendly dental practice. We are conveniently located near Center City, Bella Vista, Queen Village, Passyunk Square and Pennsport.
All of our treatments are performed with the utmost attention to detail and patient comfort. We offer a wide array of treatments, such as cosmetic dentistry, BPA free composite fillings, Invisalign, root canals, dental implants, veneers, porcelain crowns, tooth extractions, zoom whitening, bone grafts.
Dentsts on Washington is proud to utilize the VELscope® Vx Enhanced Oral Assessment System, a handheld scope that is used to visualize oral tissue abnormalities, including cancer and pre-cancer.
Our Dental Exams

- Evaluation of your overall health and oral hygiene
- Evaluation of your risk of tooth decay and gum disease
- Evaluation of your need for tooth restoration or tooth replacement
- TMJ ( jaw joint) evaluation
- Assessment of how much fluoride you’re getting through your diet and use of oral hygiene products
- Dental X-rays or other diagnostic procedures if necessary
- Evaluation of soft tissues to check for pathology
All of the electricity used to power our office and building is powered by 100% wind energy.
Though not yet required by Pennsylvania law, we have installed a device which removes mercury from our waste water and prevents contaminants from reaching our sewer system and local waterways.
We utilize digital x-rays in our office, which not only offer improved imaging and diagnostics over traditional x-rays, but allow for a significantly reduced amount of radiation exposure needed to capture an x-ray image. In addition to this benefit, caustic chemicals are not needed to develop digital x-rays and no hazardous waste bi-products are associated with them.
All of records are stored digitally which eliminates paper waste.
Our dental vacuum or suction system is waterless, which saves about 360 gallons of water per day compared to a traditional dental vacuum system.
Our instruments are sterilized using the chemical free method of steam sterilization. This system is not only safer for the environment but also offers superior sterilization compared to traditional methods of sterilization.
All of our insurance claims are sent electronically to insurance carriers to avoid the unnecessary waste of paper.E-Claims
We offer composite (tooth colored) fillings which do not contain the chemical bisphenol A.

Both Dr. Ngo & Dr. Costello are so sincere, professional, honest, and kind. Their support & reception staff is amazing too.
I have no idea what the last reviewer was talking about; that has NEVER been my family’s experience here. Both Drs work seamlessly together, sometimes Dr. Ngo will start, and Dr. Costello will finish up – but they are always so communicative to what’s going on, etc. They always make time to answer any questions, both in person & through email.
Seriously, anyone who is looking for a new dentist, go here! I can’t recommend them enough.

This is one of the best dentist office’s I’ve ever been to! They are very kind and polite, they don’t make you feel ashamed if your teeth aren’t the best. I always feel super comfortable and not judged. Down to the receptionist Tiffany, she’s amazing and super helpful. When I was pregnant in 2020, I did not have the best insurance and due to covid was limited to working. I needed a filling and Dr. Duyen Ngo did it with no charge. That was one of the most heartfelt thing’s anyone in this field has ever done for me! I really appreciate the staff there. They are the best!
